Your suffering will be legendary - even in hell.....

OK so I have been MIA recently (did ya miss me?). I was in a major slump after losing Willie last week (and yes there will be a memorial - just couldn't do it yet) and just couldn't get myself out of it until NOW that is.....its HALLOWEEN! So since its been a while since my last post I thought I would FINALLY share the pics from the halloween party....Here we are....the fuzzy dice....

OK so its not the greatest picture but...you get the idea...LOL

This past weekend - the teenage daughter had her costume party (she was Thing 2 her friend was Thing 1). I forgot how much food a group of teenagers can put away....not to mention there were quite a few football players so yeah - I had NO food left. It was a good party and they were a great group of kids. Late in the evening they were watching Candyman...(candyman, candyman...candyman...opps better stop...hehe), and I brought down several large bowls of popcorn and they started chanting....Teenage Daughter's (insert real name) Mom....Teenage Daughter's Mom....then when Mr. Cheeky went down to fix the stereo sound for the movie - he got the chant too...Teenage Daughter's Dad....

We also had a fire outside and bails of hay to sit on....it was a little on the frosty side so they said forget that and went inside...so we and my neighbors across the street enjoyed the fire. The party ended at 11:30 and I was whipped...good thing we got an extra hour this weekend.

The little man child started hockey this weekend. Being from the south, of course he hasn't really played before (unless on roller blades in the cul de sac counts). His first practice was not the greatest but he kept a good attitude and improved by the next one.

OH I just realized I haven't officially introduced you to our newest family member Sylvester (aka white feet). OK well I was gonna post one but blogger is being a PIA!

As you can tell from the title of this post I have been watching horror flicks for the last week - every day - its been GREAT! (kudos if you know the movie its from)

So let me just say HAPPY HALLOWEEN.......and sing...a little....

I was working in the lab late one night
When my eyes beheld an eerie sight
For my monster from his slab began to rise
And suddenly to my surprise

Chorus:
(He did the mash)
He did the monster mash
(The monster mash)
It was a graveyard smash
(He did the mash)
It caught on in a flash
(He did the mash)
He did the monster mash

From my laboratory in the castle east
To the master bedroom where the vampires feast
The ghouls all came from their humble abodes
To get a jolt from my electrodes

(He did the mash)
He did the monster mash
(The monster mash)
It was a graveyard smash
(He did the mash)
It caught on in a flash
(He did the mash)
He did the monster mash

The zombies were having fun
The party had just begun
The guests included Wolf Man
Dracula and his son

The scene was rockin', all were digging the sounds
Igor on chains, backed by his baying hounds
The coffin-bangers were about to arrive
With their vocal group, "The Crypt-Kicker Five"

(They played the mash)
They played the monster mash
(The monster mash)
It was a graveyard smash
(They played the mash)
It caught on in a flash
(They played the mash)
They played the monster mash

Out from his coffin, Drac's voice did ring
Seems he was troubled by just one thing
He opened the lid and shook his fist
And said, "Whatever happened to my Transylvania twist?"

(It's now the mash)
It's now the monster mash
(The monster mash)
And it's a graveyard smash
(It's now the mash)
It's caught on in a flash
(It's now the mash)
It's now the monster mash

Now everything's cool, Drac's a part of the band
And my monster mash is the hit of the land
For you, the living, this mash was meant too
When you get to my door, tell them Model A sent you

(Then you can mash)
Then you can monster mash
(The monster mash)
And do my graveyard smash
(Then you can mash)
You'll catch on in a flash
(Then you can mash)
Then you can monster mash

mmmmmmm
Mash Good

Easy Igor, you impetuous young boy

mmmmmmm
Mash gooooood
mmmm mmmmm

Card Samples

OK so I can make good cards but I stink as a photographer so these may be a little fuzzy (gimme a break - nobody is perfect..hehe)

With these cards they can be customized with any color background or mixed and matched in any way.

The internal verses can be customized as well. Can choose from the following:

#1
The best gifts of
Christmas
can not be
found
beneath a
tree

#2
May your holidays
be trimmed with magic
and wrapped in all
the magnificence
of the season

#3
Wishing you all the joys
of the season
and the best
in the coming year

Card #1 with matching envelope:

Card #2 Snowmen (can be with or without the vellum on any color):

Card #3 Santa Face - the picture doesn't show all the detail in the shading (very labor intesive but turns out sooooo nice don't ya think?)

Card #4 - Happy Holidays - with holly border. Can be put on any color or shade of cardstock with or without the holly border. Picture shows gold embossing but can also be done in silver.

There are a few more but blogger is rebelling and not letting me post them! Arrrrggghhh!!! I do have a simple Christmas tree and cute little mice with candles. I also have examples of customized envelopes with snowflakes or little santa faces.

So there you have it. Give me your HONEST opinion. I don't hit (too hard...hehe) or won't yell at you too loud...hehe

Cheeky who is singing.....Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas....everywhere you go....LMAO!!! (man I crack myself up)

Trying something new

So, I have this idea. And I think I am gonna give it a try. See, every year I make my own Christams cards. Over the years they have gotten better and this year I think they are really good (if I do say so myself). So, here it is, almost the end of October and my cards for this year are done with a few left over and that got me to thinking - perhaps I can make sets and sell them on ebay?? Hmmmm I wonder if it would work. Or, I could give those on ebay a choice and customize the cards to their liking? Its an idea. What do you think? Seriously, give me an honest opinion. I won't come and hunt you down if I don't like what you have to say....really, I won't. I think I may do a few different samples and put them on and see what happens.

Oh, last night we let Willie sleep in the bed and the new kitty has been sleeping there and I woke up and saw the most wonderful thing. The new kitty was snuggling him. It was really sweet and I wanted to take a pic but I if I moved they would have moved too.

Cheeky - who is singing....a little Adam Ant....With the heartbreak open, So much you can't hide. Put on a little makeup makeup, Make sure they get your good side good side. If the words unspoken, Get stuck in your throat. Send a treasure token token, Write it on a pound note pound note....

Goody two, goody two, goody goody two shoes
Goody two, goody two, goody goody two shoes
Don't drink don't smoke - what do you do?
Don't drink don't smoke - what do you do?
Subtle innuendos follow, There must be something he's hiding

I have become a danger to hands....

Stop me now before it moves to other body parts. Remember last week while I was making the invitations for teenage daughter's halloween party I took a big chunk out of my index finger? Well if you don't scroll down and read. Well, the index finger is almost healed so what did I do last night? Decided to take a huge chunk out of my thumb (on the same hand as the other incident) and nail all in one swoop. I was making my wonderful, fabulous, chicken nachos and was chopping the tomatos to go on top when it came out of the oven and while I was doing my wonderful Rachel Ray chopping impersonation - whack! there goes half my nail and part of my thumb! You should see the scars on my hands from where we had a wood stove in the house in NC. I have burn scars everywhere. My hands don't deserve this abuse. Poor things.

Speaking of my hands....while at the science museum yesterday (which is way cool by the way), they had this whole display on the human body and how things work and blah blah blah. Well they had this thing where you could put it up to your skin and see it super magnified on a screen. The kids were loving it and said "Here Mom, put your hand down" well I did and then there was this HUGE red spot on the screen where my hand was.....what the crap is that? Teenage daughter said "Ewww Mom gross what is that?". I pulled my hand away really quickly to see just what the crap was on my hand and I saw nothing until you get really really really close there is a tiny little red spot, so tiny you really can barely see it - that is until you put a huge magnifier on it for the whole world to see....yeah that is what I wanted.

Cheeky - who must go now and finish her costume for tonight....so here is a little Oingo Boingo for ya.....I'm all dressed up with nowhere to go, Walkin' with a dead man over my shoulder....Waiting for an invitation to arrive, Goin' to a party where no one's still alive...I was struck by lighting, Walkin' down the street, I was hit by something last night in my sleep. It's a dead man's party. Who could ask for more. Everybody's comin', leave your body at the door...Leave your body and soul at the door...(Don't run away it's only me)

Need to snap out of this funk...

So its Friday, and while I planned on playing SPF this week it just didn't happen so I will give ya some more randomness.

Mr. Cheeky and I have decided on our costumes for tomorrow night's party. It was his idea and I have to give him credit, it was very creative - wanna know what we are gonna be?? Do ya? Fuzzy Dice!! OK well its supposed to be fuzzy dice but you know me, I am going for the "bling" so it will be fuzzy/shiny dice. I have to get the rest of the supplies to finish making them tonight. Yes, I know - pictures will be posted this weekend after the party.

I have a meeting for work this morning and then I am taking the kids to the Science Museum in St. Paul to see the Body Worlds exhibit. Its kinda cool and creepy all at the same time and well its close to Halloween and so I thought it would be fun.

The teenage daughter knows about Willie. She is handling it ok. Just like us, she is sad but understands.

The kitty's are starting to get along - well a little bit anyway. Resident kitty can only take so much and after a while will chase or corner new kitty. She is the Queen of her castle. She will let new kitty live here but she rules and is not gonna let him forget it. It is really funny to watch.

I think new kitty has hairball issues. I am not sure because I have never had a cat that has had hairball issues. For the past two days he will have spells of coughing almost like he is trying to get it out or something. But then again he could have something from the shelter (do kitties get kennel cough??). Either way I am not going to worry about it yet. He has an appt next week to be checked out. Its a free service from the shelter when you adopt if you take them within the first 14 days.

I keep calling the new kitty "she" instead of "he". Do you think that will give him a complex?

Just heard that Motley Crue and Aerosmith are coming to town. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. I think I am gonna go.

I think that is about it for now. Gotta jump in the shower before my meeting.

Cheeky - who needs a pick me up and well a little Gloria Gaynor will do it everytime...

At first I was afraid, I was petrified, Kept thinking I could never live
without you by my side. But I spent so many nights, thinking how you did me wrong, I grew strong, I learned how to carry on. And so you're back...from outer space. I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face. I should have changed my stupid lock. I should have made you leave your key. If I had known for just one second you'd be back to bother me...

Go on now go... walk out the door...just turn around now...'cause you're not welcome anymore. Weren't you the one who tried to hurt me with goodbye, you think I'd crumble, you think I'd lay down and die. Oh no, not I, I will survive. As long as I know how to love, I know I will stay alive. I've got all my life to live. I've got all my love to give and I'll survive...I will survive

(Cheeky: sing with me now - wherever you are....you know you want to)

It took all the strength I had not to fall apart. Kept trying hard to mend the pieces of my broken heart...and I spent oh so many nights just feeling sorry for myself. I used to cry, Now I hold my head up high...and you see me...somebody new. I'm not that chained up little person still in love with you. And so you felt like dropping in and just expect me to be free. Now I'm saving all my loving for someone who's loving me....

The time has come and the decision has been made

The vet confirmed what we already knew in our hearts. It is kinder to Willie to let him go than to keep him living in his present condition. We have made the decision to put him to sleep next week. Our reason for waiting is somewhat selfish. First of all, I have to find a way to explain it to the kids. But mostly, I want the extra time to spend with him. To cater to him, to love and snuggle him just a little more. It will give me time to let go slowly I think, at least I hope. So, next Wednesday, at 5:30pm we will be saying our final goodbyes to our darling Weezer.

Thanks to everyone for their kindness and support. Willie is not just a pet. He is my first child with a personality all his own.

So, I am in a good mood this morning....

But, I think it is just more like avoidance or denial. This evening at 6:30 I have an appt with the vet for my darling Willie (aka Weezer aka the first child). If you have been coming around here for any length of time you know that Weezer is getting pretty old - 15 human years to be exact. He was my first child and got me through some pretty rough times. Just before we moved to MN, we had taken him to the vet and discovered his spine is pretty much solid from arthritis and it prevents him from standing straight. He has other ailments too but he has a strong heart and was doing OK and still had 5 out of 7 good days a week. After we moved, we could tell the cold weather was really getting to him but he still managed to have a few good days and was still playful. We had him on pain meds for most of the winter. Then in early spring, he started having kidney problems and became incontinent. Luckily, that cleared up but we have noticed more and more that all he does is sleep. Literally. He gets up when the man child gets ready for school. I take him out and then he comes back in and sleeps until, well until we wake him up again to take him out which is usually around 3-4 in the afternoon. He will try to stay awake and try to walk (mostly shaky) for a few hours in the evening and then he sleeps the rest of the night. His appetite has decreased over the last several months. We know that we are coming to the end of our time with Willie.

We are going to take him to the vet this evening for an consultation/evaluation for having him put to sleep (and counseling for us). I can't stand to even think about this but I don't want my precious puppy to live in constant pain. I haven't really told the kids outright yet although I do drop little comments here and there to get their reactions. If the vet truly thinks there is something we can do to help him, then by all means we will do it but we have come to the realization that there may not be much we can do to help. So, with this visit I am going in expecting the worst but hoping for the best.

Cheeky....Who is singing a little Elton John.....Guess there are times when we all need to share a little pain. And ironing out the rough spots, Is the hardest part when memories remain. And it's times like these when we all need to hear the radio, `Cause from the lips of some old singer, We can share the troubles we already know...

Turn them on, turn them on, Turn on those sad songs, When all hope is gone, Why don't you tune in and turn them on....

They reach into your room. Just feel their gentle touch. When all hope is gone, Sad songs say so much...

If someone else is suffering enough to write it down, When every single word makes sense, Then it's easier to have those songs around. The kick inside is in the line that finally gets to you, and it feels so good to hurt so bad, And suffer just enough to sing the blues.

Sad songs, they say....Sad songs, they say....Sad songs, they say....Sad songs, they say so much...so Turn them on, turn them on, Turn on those sad songs, When all hope is gone, Why don't you tune in and turn them on....

I have a confession to make....

First, let me say a belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY PATTI!!!! Keep an eye on the mail!

Now on to the confession.....

I am in love with another man. He is the most loving and wonderful creature and the greatest snuggler and sleeping partner. His name....Sylvester. His age...2. He is a beautiful American shorthair cat that I adopted from the shelter this weekend. He is the most affectionate animal I have EVER seen (and I am loving every single minute of it). At first we were a little concerned because he has not been declawed but he has yet to use his claws on furniture, his new brother (Willie - even though he did gently "pop" him) and his new sister (Kitty - who is really being a witchy little thing - but I expected that from her - she is not very social or loving which is why I wanted Sylvester). Sylvester (aka White Feet - cause he is black with white paws), is also very vocal and I swear he is calling me Momma already.

I have been slowly introducing the new kitty with the resident kitty and it really has been a treat to watch. They haven't really yelled at each other but they do tip toe around. Its kind of funny. I only keep them together a little bit each day. I try to give them a little more time as the days go on. I didn't just want to come home on Saturday and say here he is - resident Kitty would not have like that at all.

Saturday night we went to see the Minnesota Wild play the Columbus Blue Jackets. Now, I can't say that I am a hugh Wild fan (hockey - YES, Wild - eh so-so) but you do have to pull for the home team and the home team is really doing well this year. Currently they are 5-0 (one of only two teams in the league that are currently undefeated in the regular season) so the excitement is really great!

Sunday was a lazy day. We have so much coming up over the next several weekends that I decided to just take a day and chill. But I did do something that I should not have done. I knew better than to do it. I knew better than to start it. But I did it anyay. I started playing Diablo again and I am hooked AGAIN!

Have ya'll been watching the new series Heroes?? If you haven't been, then you should. It is really good and I am totally hooked and its killing me that they leave it hanging at the end so you come back next week to see what happens! LOVE IT!

OH I have to tell you what was in the bag from the man child - it was wet beach sand all rolled up like a Jimmy Dean sausage...actually it did look like dog poop and I was a little concerned about it...LOL When Mr. Cheeky saw it he thought it was dog poop too.

Well that is about it from me today so I will leave you with a little team spirit...The Wild Anthem. Go here to hear it (its actually kinda cool for Minnesota that is...haha)....the words are below....

MINNESOTA WILD ANTHEM
We were raised
With the stick
And a pair of blades
On the ice we cut our teeth
We took our knocks
In the penalty box
Our mother was the referee

This sport was here
Before we came
It will be here when we're gone
The game's in our blood
And our blood's in the game
Lay us down under
A frozen pond

We will fight to the end
We will stand and defend
Our flag flying high and free
We were born the child
Of the strong and wild
In the state the state
Of hockey
A big blue line runs around our state
A line that can't be crossed
The day they try to take this game
Is the day the gloves come off

We will fight to the end
We will stand and defend
Our flag flying high and free
We were born the child
Of the strong and wild
In the state the state
Of hockey.

Finally Friday

Whew this has been one looooong week. Let me see if I can ramble some stuff off for ya....

Conversation with the man child yesterday:
MC: Mom have you checked my book bag yet?
Cheeky: No, why?
MC: Well, here let me show ya.....(pulls out a baggie with brown stuff in it)...guess what this is....and NO its not a dog turd.

Uncle Tommy is doing well. He will stay in the hospital through the weekend. Thanks for your well wishes.

2 days!!!! It snowed for 2 days!! There wasn't any accumulation but that is not the point. It ain't even Halloween and it snowed for 2 days! I don't think I am gonna be able to take this winter. The news says that because of El Nino we should have a warmer than normal winter. The Farmer's Almanac says its gonna be colder than normal with above averge snow fall. Given the two, the Almanac tends to be right more often than the news. This isn't a good thing this year. I hope its wrong.

I just may be nominated for Mom of the year. Last night I bought tickets for my kids to go with me on the next trip to Charleston. Of course, I will not see them the entire time because they will be with their friends.

Crafting is dangerous. Last night as I was finishing up the painstakingly hand made Halloween party invitations, I sliced a big chunk out of my index finger. OUCH! So now I have a bandage on it and that makes for rough typing.

Oh and since its Friday the 13th I thought I would share this.....I was gonna wait until Halloween but nah....

That's it...that is what I have for ya today. So let me leave you with a little Earl Thomas Conley.....I got a hundred dollars smokin' in my billfold, I know I ought to save it but it's burnin' a hole. Right through my pocket and into my skin. Come Monday morning I'll be broke again.....It's finally Friday, I'm free again, I got my motor runnin' for a wild weekend. It's finally Friday, I'm out of control. Forget the workin' blues and let the good times roll...

Need your positive energy...

My Uncle Tommy is back in the hospital. His first heart attack was just about a month ago. He went through a 5-way bypass and had been doing much better. Mom just called and said that he has had another heart attack and will be going through another surgery this afternoon.

Mom, you hair looks like a tree.....

These words were spoken by the teenage daughter last evening as we were attending the man child's graduation from white to yellow belt.

I looked and her and said "Excuse me?". "Well", she said "its dark on the bottom and that is sorta like the bark and with the highlights on top - that is the leaves - you know bright like fall colors".

Mmmmmkay...I guess....maybe. So first she calls me a toilet mouth (scroll down for the rambling posts) and now she calls me tree head. Hmmmm.....not sure what to think about that.

The reason for this conversation was this past Monday I got my hair did (and YES, I will post pics - Mr. Cheeky is traveling and well the teenage daughter has alredy left for school so I need someone to take the pic - unless of course I do one of those myspace poses....ummm NO).

I got 4 inches....yep 4 INCHES cut (see the birtday post to see how long it was on Sunday) and finally got the red lowlights I wanted put in (ok its more of a reddish brown but I like it) and I still have some blonde. I can't go totally without blonde...I am a natural blonde (and yeah the some of those blonde jokes are true...hehe) and well that is just who I am....I can't deny that.

It has taken me a day or so to get used to it. I forgot how attached (no pun intended) I was to the longer hair. The middle of my back is a little chilly now and the pony tail I put in when I run (ok walk/run for my reindeer run training) isn't really long and boucy anymore...but I think its growing on me. I have been told its cute and others have said they like it and I did get the teenage daughters approval on Monday (before the tree comment yesterday). She was all worried that I was gonna cut it. She had forbidden me to do so....cause you know...she IS in charge!

Updated: I just took the dog outside and there was this horrible white stuff falling from the sky...

Cheeky who is singing some Katrina and the Waves cause she is in denial of the falling stuff...... used to think maybe you loved me, now baby I'm sure. And I just can't wait till the day when you knock on my door. Now every time I go to the mailbox, gotta hold myself down. 'Cause I just can't wait till you write me you're coming around. Now I'm walking on sunshine, oh oh! I'm walking on sunshine, oh oh! I'm walking on sunshine, oh oh! And don't it feel good!

I used to think maybe you loved me, now I know that it's true. But I just can't spend my whole life just-a waiting for you. I don't want you back for the weekend, not back for a day. 'Cause baby I just want you back and I want you to stay. Now I'm walking on sunshine, oh oh! I'm walking on sunshine, oh oh! I'm walking on sunshine, oh oh! And don't it feel good! Walking on sunshine, Walking on sunshine, I feel alive, I feel a love, I feel a love that's really real, I feel alive, I feel a love, I feel a love that's really real I'm on sunshine baby, oh yeah! I'm on sunshine baby..

What happened to the Question Mark??

Remember last week when I whined and moaned and said the "S" word? And if you will recall (or you can just scroll down) the little visual aid I provided had little question marks. I was busy this weekend and didn't get a chance to watch the news or weather so I wanna know, what happened to the question marks???? Look, see for yourself....NO.QUESTION.MARKS...

And what is this on Thursday with a HIGH of 39?!?!?!

Cheeky who is already feeling the chill and must go get a cup of cocoa (with some schnaps) to fell better. How about a little Bangles for ya......Time, time, time
See what's become of me, While I looked around for my possibilities...I was so hard to please....Look around, Leaves are brown, And the sky is a hazy shade of winter...

Nothing...Nada...Zip....

Just can't come up with something to write about this morning. Perhaps the coffee hasn't kicked in...probably because I haven't HAD my coffee yet (go figure). So let me give you some more random things.

Kitty loves deer jerky. My daddy makes fabulous deer jerky...yum yum yum. And everytime I try to have some, Kitty is right there wanting her share. I guess deer jerky to her is like Skittles for Weezer.

Busy weekend. Today, final buying and prep for the man child's party. Saturday, gonna cruise down the St. Croix river and check out the foliage. Then have a picnic. Sunday, its the man child's golden birthday and so its party time!

The man child will be graduating next Tuesday from a white belt to a yellow belt! Woohoo!

I have been feeling really domestic this week. This is very odd behavior for me. I must be catching something. Mr. Cheeky is pleased, I am concerned.

Need to come up with costume ideas for me and Mr. Cheeky for a Halloween party in 2 weeks!

I heard a really really bad word yesterday. I am hoping I heard it wrong but somehow I don't think I did. The weather said....and I quote...."possible snow flurries next Thursday"....hello? Excuse me? What was that? Going from upper 60's to snow in the matter of a week? OK so I know IF it does happen that it won't accumulate, but that isn't the point. The point is that white stuff will be falling out of the sky in OCTOBER. I can't even tell you how wrong this is. Think I am crazy? Check this out.....see what it says there on Thursday....uh huh

Cheeky who is singing......

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the funny farm
Where life is beautiful all the time
And I'll be happy to see
Those nice, young men
In their clean, white coats
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

You thought it was a joke
And so you laughed
You laughed when I had said
That losing you would make me flip my lid
Right. . .

You know you laughed, I heard you laugh
You laughed, you laughed and laughed
And then you left
But now you know I'm utterly mad!
And. . .

They're coming to take me away, HA HA
They're coming to take me away, HO HO HEE HEE HA HA
To the happy home
With trees and flowers and chirping birds
And basket weavers who sit and smile
And twiddle their thumbs and toes
And they're coming to take me away, Ha-haaa!

How Annoying!

Ok, even though I tend to have trouble falling asleep and usually don't sleep the night through, I still have dreams. Over the last week or so, I have had some of the most bizarre dreams but now I can't remember them. Last night (which, thanks to Target's generic night time sleep aid was a fabulous night's sleep) I had some really funky dreams. I remember that they were in color which is way cool to be able to dream in color. And I remember waking up briefly and saying to myself - that was so odd and then falling back asleep now I can't remember squat!!!! I know I know, you are supposed to write stuff down as soon as you wake up, but if I was to turn on the light at 2 am to write something down, then I would definately be up for good and with sleep being a big commodity, I don't think I want to chance it.

Now there are some dreams that I do remember and can manipulate. Take last Sunday morning for example. I was having a wonderful dream and I woke up (it was morning about 8 which is sleeping in for me) but I wanted to finish the dream so I was able to go back to sleep and voila! back into the same dream but now I was really paying attention and could (or so I thought) consciously manipulate my actions.....cool huh?

But then again, I could just be totally nuts........

Cheeky who is singing......some Eurythmics (like you didn't see this one coming)..... Sweet dreams are made of this, Who am I to disagree? Travel the world and the seven seas.....Everybody's looking for something. Some of them want to use you. Some of them want to get used by you. Some of them want to abuse you. Some of them want to be abused.

Randomness

Since I didn't post last Friday and I have too much to wait until this Friday I thought I would try to get some of this stuff out of my head.....

The man child is totally scared of storms now. He is paranoid of tornados since the one that we had close by a couple weeks ago. I am trying make storms cool for him...He ain't buying it. We had a really cool storm last night...He wasn't a happy camper....Yep he slept in my bed.

Overheard (while driving in the car)
Mr. Cheeky: I think we should change the sheets when we get home.
Man Child: Why?, you are just going to have to change them again tomorrow - cause you are a little gassy dad!
Cheeky: ROFLMAO!

The teenage daughter is finally finished with Tennis (woohooo!!) Now she wants to join the colorguard....does it ever end?

The man child touched my heart Monday night. This is one of the most thoughtful and considerate kids I have ever seen in my life. We were laying on the bed watching X-Men and poor old Weezer was laying with us. I said something about Weezer going to heaven soon (We are contemplating this decision. Weezer's health is continuing to decline so I was kind of testing the waters by saying this) and the man child said "Well when he does go, we will have to put plenty of popcorn and skittles in the coffin with him" (these are things Weezer will knock you over and take right out of your mouth he loves them so much). I was touched the man child would even think of that. What a kind hearted little man.

I have given the teenage daughter permission to have a Halloween party. I may regret this decision later on - but then again - it could be cool (depending on the group of kids - some I know others I will be meeting for the first time). Yes, I am gonna dress up. Yes, it is my mission to embarrass her (after all, what kind of a Mom would I be if I didn't?).

I may be regretting the decision to tell ya'll about the reindeer run....cause now I can't back down.....

Conversation with the teenage daughter on Monday
TD: So did you finally get your tooth fixed?
Cheeky: Yep, they did it today but it feels a little weird.
TD: How?
Cheeky: Well, its a little smoother than the rest of my teeth, especially on top.
TD: Why?
Cheeky: Cause the crown is made out of porcelain.
TD: Isn't that what they make toilets out of?

Cheeky - who is gonna sing a little Jimmy Buffett (yep, I am a parrothead) this morning......

Now, I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow. Let me say it now, I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow.

Ground, she movin' under me. Tidal waves out on the sea. Sulphur smoke up in the sky. Pretty soon we learn to fly.....

Let me hear you, now I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow. Let me hear you now. I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow.

My girl quickly say to me, "Mon you better watch your feet." Lava come down soft and hot. "You better lava me now or lava me not".

Let me hear you, now I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow. Let me hear you now. I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow.

No time to count what I'm worth, cause I just left the planet Earth. Where I go I hope there's rum. Not to worry mon soon come.

Let me hear you, now I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow. Let me hear you now. I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow.

But I don't want to land in New York City,(no no no) I don't want to land in Mexico (no no no). I don't want to land on no Three Mile Island; I don't want to see my skin a-glow.

Don't want to land in Comanche Sky Park (no no no), or in Nashville, Tennessee (no no no).I don't want to land in no San Juan airport or the Yukon Territory.

Don't want to land no San Diego (no no no). Don't want to land in no Buzzards Bay (no no no). I don't want to land on no Ayatolla. I got nothin' more to say.

Let me hear you, now I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow. Let me hear you now. I don't know, I don't know where I'm a gonna go when the volcano blow!

I know I know....What is she smokin'? Right?

I know I know I can't believe I am actually even thinking about doing this....much less actually gonna do it. I mean, who would have ever thought....Cheeky doing something like this....its absurd...insane...just down right nuts.

Yes, my dear friends, I have slipped past the world of sanity. I have set a goal and I aim to keep it (and please ask me from time to time, nag me, harrass me - whatever to make me stick to this craziness). I have decided that I, Cheeky, am going to participate in this! I don't have much time....I have to start preparing now......YIKES! I have never, ever, ever done anything like this or even wanted to but I am gonna do it this year. Yep, its gonna be cold. Yep, most likely there will be snow on the ground....but....I am still gonna do it and Yep - it will probably kill me...........

Cheeky who still can't believe she is gonna actually do something this insane thought that a little Jackson Browne would be appropriate this morning....Looking out at the road rushing under my wheels, Looking back at the years gone by like so many summer fields, In sixty-five I was seventeen and running up one-o-one, I don't know where I'm running now, I'm just running on....

Running on - running on empty
Running on - running blind
Running on - running into the sun
But I'm running behind....

Any Guesses on what I did last night instead of sleep???

If you really want to know
What I want in a guy...
Well, I'm lookin' for a dream on a mean machine
With hell in his eyes.
I want a devil in skin tight leather,
And he's gonna be wild as the wind.
And one fine night, I'll be holdin' on tight...

To a coooool rider, a coooool rider.
If he's cool enough,
He can burn me through and through.
Whhoa ohhhh
If it takes forever,
Then I'll wait forever.
No ordinary boy,
No ordinary boy is gonna do.
I want a rider that's cool.

That's the way it's gonna be,
And that's the way that I feel.
I want a whole lot more than the boy next door,
I want hell on wheels.
Just give me a fine motorcycle,
With a man growin' out of the seat.
And move aside, cause I'm gonna ride...

With a coooool rider, a coooool rider.
If he's cool enough,
He can burn me through and through.
Whhoa ohhhh
If it takes forever,
Then I'll wait forever.
No ordinary boy,
No ordinary boy is gonna do.
I want a rider that's cool.

I don't want no ordinary guys,
Comin' on strong to me.
They don't know what I'm lookin' for,
They don't know what I need.
They're gonna know when he gets here,
Cause the crowd will be shakin'.
I'll do anything to let him know,
That I'm his, his for the takin'.

I want a coooooool rider,
A cool, cool, cool, cool rider.
I want a coooooool rider,
A cool, cool, cool, cool rider.
I want a C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R.
I need a C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R.

I want a C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R.
I need a C-O-O-L R-I-D-E-R.

Are ya singing with me??
