Ever give a cat a hair cut?

Well, I have....twice. Kitty girl is Himalayan. Girlfriend has got some fur - that likes to mat. Well at the beginning of summer she had a really big one on her chest and it was too big and close to the skin to use scissors. So, out comes the buzz cliper. She didn't seem to mind too much, well once she realized what we were doing. I think she knew that it was going to make her feel better - I can only imagine that having a big ol mat on your chest would hurt a little (you know all the hair pulling and restricting movement)>

Well, last night, the buzz clipper comes out again. This time with two big mats on the back. Once again she didn't put up too much of a fuss. The last time we clipped her it was a place no one would notice if you didn't tell. This time....well....its not pretty. But, it needed to be done. Now, if someone would just brush her regularly we wouldn't have to go through this again.
