Friday, June 01, 2007So, today is Friday....And what does that mean? That means that I have to push even harder to work today. I have had a serious case of spring fever this week. I have had to force myself to focus and get things done when all I wanted to do was goof off. Maybe it was the 4 day work week that just sort of got things all off whack, I dunno. But I will do it. I will trudge along and try to focus. I really should because I do have quite a bit of time off coming up. BUT this evening, the man child has a friend coming home with him to spend the night. I think we are going to make our own pizzas and then head out to see Shrek 3. The teenage daughter is invited. She will make the pizzas with us but I doubt that she will go to the movies. You know, when you are a teenager there is a gene that activates that says you can't spend toooooo much time with the family or you may spontaneously combust or something like that. Not sure what we are going to do this weekend. Mr. Cheeky is still in Germany (oh and said watching Family Guy and South Park in German is sooo freakin weird) so we don't really have anything specifically planned but I am sure that we can find something to do. I was thinking about doing a "Pirates Marathon" and go rent Pirates of the Carribean one and two and then go see the third one Saturday or Sunday. OR, we could go shopping but I don't know if the man child will be happy about that. I think the weather is going to be nice so we could do something outside. I like that we have options. I like that we can do whatever, whenever we want. Its going to be nice since the next couple of weeks are going to be busy. Mr. Cheeky gets back early next week and then a day later I am flying out to Charlotte, NC for a little family and friends visit. Then I come back and then a day and half later we are driving down to Indy for the races where I will be bunking at Jenie's place - woohoo and hanging out with my German friends from Charleston at the race. We have tickets for all three days so I am sure we are going to be worn out! Cheeky - who needs to sing a little something about persistance, a little something that will help me focus and get to work....a little Proclaimers perhaps??? When I wake up yeah I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you When I go out yeah I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you If I get drunk yes I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who gets drunk next to you And if I haver yeah I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who's havering to you But I would walk 500 miles And I would walk 500 more Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles To fall down at your door When I'm working yes I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who's working hard for you And when the money comes in for the work I'll do I'll pass almost every penny on to you When I come home (when I come home)yeah I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who comes back home to you And if I grow old well I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man who's growing old with you But I would walk 500 miles And I would walk 500 more Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles To fall down at your door Da d-da da, da d-da da, da d-da da, da d-da da Da-da-da- dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle a da da Da d-da da, da d-da da, da d-da da, da d-da da Da-da-da- dun-diddle un-diddle un-diddle a da da When I'm lonely well I know I'm gonna be I'm gonna be the man whose lonely without you When I'm dreaming well I know I'm gonna dream I'm gonna dream about the time when I'm with you.
