We are Back!!
Oh we had a great time. Really. Nobody got cranky, nobody yelled**, we lauged a lot, and basically enjoyed each other's company. Even the kids. Shocking I know.
There are lots of things to tell from this trip so I am going to spread it out over the next couple of posts. I mean, really, who wants to read a novella of a post right?
Let me start with a few PSA's for today:
To the toilet in the MN airport bathroom,
I know this is a big pick up spot. I did not tap the floor with my foot, I did not reach my hand under the stall. BUT dear toilet, why oh why did you have to auto flush like 5 times while I was sitting there. Seriously. I wasn't dropping a stink pickle or anything so I know you weren't doing a courtesy flush for me. Every time I dried off from one flush you would do it again, spraying my backside yet again. I didn't enjoy this little dance and I am sure others don't as well.
To the TSA Agent guarding the exit door,
Sweetie, I know this job is long and hard and really boring, but do you really think you are making me feel safe when you are snoozing while guarding the exit door? You are supposed to be watching to make sure people don't come through there but go through the security area......this door is for LEAVING the security area. Snoozing at said post is not a wise move honey. I am just sayin.
To the drivers in MN,
I was in my car for 10 mins,
10 mins and ya'll cut me off no less than 3 times during this time limit. Now I know why I have road rage. Even my kids now know why I have road rage.
To the passengers on the plane (from the teenage daughter),
Gas happens. We know this but please move to the back of the plane into the restrooms before trying to suffocate the rest of the plane. I mean, its not like they use a lot of fresh air on those things.
**I almost lost my cool one morning during the trip. I had had little sleep and man child has developed this habit of arguing back (its the age but still drives me nuts), he was fussing at me because he I didn't pack his belt. It was turning ugly. Mr. Cheeky stepped in to save the morning. We stopped for coffee and manchild went in with Mr. Cheeky and brought me a peace offering....a pack of skittles and a sundrop! I got 2 swigs of the sundrop (he drank the rest) and I only got a few of the skittles but it was the bribe that counts.
More to come tomorrow. Here is a little teaser for ya: Jim Jones Juice!

Just a little PSA.....
To the hiring manager at the local store (can't name it but if you live around this area it would be really easy to guess),
When selecting a candidate that is going to be a potential employee (specifically a cashier), makes sure said candidate can interact suitably with the public. This is part of the job. This is a required skill. Your new employee even had Mr. Cheeky talking about him and that is very rare to have the man complain er discuss about someone. First of all, he tried to keep every one's discount card. NO NO NO. Then, he was looking for the tag on the new shirt I bought the man child, he finally found it (on the shirt tag, duh) and then proceeded to WAD it up and stuff it in the bag. Now I am not expecting a professional fold but don't wad the thing up mmmkay? I mean this guy was all kinds of special. I bought two bottles of juice, he set them to the side because he thought they had alcohol in them (#1 they don't sell hard alcohol or even any alcohol in bottles that resembled these in regular stores in this state and ummm #2 you should KNOW if your store sells alcohol) and I had to remind him to scan them so I could take them home. Then he asks the obligatory "would you like our credit card?" Our response, we have one....thanks. Then he looks at me and says....but don't you want a separate account? Ummm we already each have our OWN cards....but that really isn't any of your business is it? OH and he called the floor manager because the lady in front of us wrote a check, and when the deposit information printed on the check it printed under the endorse area....ummmm - he felt that was urgent and needed to be addressed by the manager immediately. So he felt the need to hold up the line waiting for her to come look at it. We had to request that he scan the tag that we are holding in front of him that is attached to the chair that is awkward and heavy but he chose to ignore cause he thought we were holding it there for exercise or something. He felt the need to comment on EVERY item that was purchased (I am really sorry I didn't have to buy tampons or something so he could ask me about my period). OH and he was whining because it was 6:54 and he gets off at 7 and he thought the needed to whine about having to check another order for the last 6 minutes he was on the clock. So, hiring manager, when you come across a potential employee that is special like this one, stick them in the back, in the stock room, in the cooler, any place where they do not have to interact with the public. I mean, I don't want you to discriminate against special people, just don't put them in jobs that #1 they are suited for and #2 will create angry customers. OH and if you feel the need to keep doing this, ummmm lets just say I have big connections at said store and I can contact people that will be taking a little bit more notice at your particular store. Capish?!Labels: PSA

Lemme give you a few PSA's mmmkay?
#1 Ok I know that we all think that we are superheroes - I mean I KNOW I am Wonder Woman personified but....do you see me riding down the street on my crotch rocket dressed out in a cape, shoulder pads, spandex, all while flexing my muscles? No..... you don't but I swear I did see this dude today as I was heading to the post office to drop off some ebay packages. If I am lying, I am dying. Dude was playing with his cape and flexing his muscles as he went through the intersection. NO KIDDING! I sooooooo wish I had my camera.
#2 When I am at the "T" and I am in the yield part and I can only get say ummmm 3/4 of the way into the turn because the light turns red and the car in front me stops and the car behind me is on my butt and you come up on me from the left don't sit there on my butt and honk your horn like every 5 seconds. You see that I can't go forward, I can't go backward I am stuck but yet you still feel the need to sit there and blow your horn. OK so I turn around and wave and acknowledge that you are there and that I hear you, but Noooooooooo that ain't good enough for you...you keep on....so when I roll my window down and tell you off (as the man child sits there laughing his butt off for me yelling at you), just be happy that I was able to control my rage for the sake of my son, otherwise I was gonna put my beloved car in park and come and slap you for being stupid - see...I am in that part of my PMDD where I have fits of rage and my happy pills don't seem to be working today, the family was aware of this earlier as I was making dinner, they could feel the evil emanating from me and kept their distance, apparently you aren't that smart, next time you decide to do this I just might (to quote one of my favorite bloggers) just stab you in the neck with an ice pick - consider this your ONLY warning ....damn Minnesotans and their horns.....don't mess with a PMDD southern girl.....
Cheeky - who is feeling better today but please tread lightly or she will go off on you too.............Labels: Man Child, PSA

Just a few PSA's
To the old lady in the turning lane next to me: Honey, I know you are slightly on the elderly side (but this really goes to anyone that does this) so you have been driving long enough to know the rules of the road. When there are two turning lanes and you are in one and I am in the other beside you and we get the green light, that means you turn into YOUR lane and don't think that you can just go where you want to go. You and your big cadillac almost creamed me and my car and ummm yeah that was me laying on the horn honey. If you can't follow the rules of the road, don't drive mmmmkay?
To the fellow Moms (and Dads) at Karate: Space and seating is limited. It is a small area. IF you are going to bring your other children to watch (or run around like the little undisciplined wild things they are) while your other child practices, don't let them use the 3 seats beside you as their own personal play area. There are those of us that would like to sit down and watch our child become the next Chuck Norris mmmmkay?
To the employees at Michaels: I have worked retail and I understand you have a job to do. I also understand that part of that job includes restocking the shelves BUT that doesn't include completely blocking off the aisle to make it completely impossible to navigate around your empty boxes. Have a little courtesy to your customers mmmmkay?
That's it. That's all I got. And NO I am not all cranky today. I am actually in a really good mood cause I keep thinking about the man child singing a little FOB while in the shower and I giggle every time. Just totally cracks me up.
Cheeky - who is gonna sing with the man child this morning.....a little FOB - Thnks fr th Mmrs (Thanks for the Memories)
I'm gonna make you bend and break
Say a prayer, but let the good times roll
In case God doesn't show (let the good times roll, let the good times roll)
And I want these words to make things right
But it's the wrongs that makes the words come to life
"Who does he think he is"
If that's the worst you've got better put your fingers back to the keys
One night and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they weren't so great
He tastes like you only sweeter
One night yeah and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories
See He tastes like you only sweeter
ohhhhhh
I'm looking forward to the future
But my eyesight is going bad
And this crystal ball
Is always cloudy except for (except for)
When you look into the past (look into the past)
One night stand
One night stand, OH!
One night and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they weren't so great
He tastes like you only sweeter
One night yeah one more time
Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories
See he tastes like you only sweeter
They say I only think in the form of
Crunching numbers in hotel rooms
Collecting page six lovers
Get me out of my mind
Gets you out of those clothes
I'm a liner away from
Getting you into the mood (wa-ooooohhh)
One night and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they weren't so great
He tastes like you only sweeter
One night yeah one more time
Thanks for the memories
Thanks for the memories
See he tastes like you only sweeter
One night and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they weren't so great
He tastes like you only sweeter
One night yeah one more time
Thanks for the memories

PSA and other stuff
So for the birthday, we went to see Zodiac (not bad I should say, very long movie so pee before you go in and don't drink anything or you might miss something - now I wanna read the book) and then went to B-dubs (not Texas Roadhouse but it wasn't my b-day so I will shut up about it now LOL).
Now for the PSAs:
#1 To the lady at the table next to us at B-dubs. Honey, we all know that you want to look your best when out on a date with a guy that quite frankly is kidding himself because he is gay. But please please please don't be putting your darker shaded lip liner way outside the lip line. In that area a little dab will do ya. I mean you looked like you had been sucking on a pig or something. Seriously ya'll when Mr. Cheeky notices something like this and then points it out to me then you know it had to be bad. He said she looked like Inspector Clousseau from the Pink Panther.
#2 To the guy who was the date of Miss "I don't know how to wear my lipstick". Dude, just admit it. You are gay. Your posture, the way you heald you cigarette, your body language everything screamed GAY! Now I don't care if you are or if you aren't (cause ya'll know I say to each his own), just admit it and move on mmmkay? I mean denial is sooooo 80's. (but I do love the 80's).
Yesterday was the man child's last day of hockey for a while. They had their tourney and got trophies and had a great time. It really was fun. They played music when the play stopped and between periods and had an announcer just like the "pros" (OK not really but it did make it fun). One really cool thing is that I did get to hear man child's name being announced. He didn't score but he did get the assist! After the tourney there was a pizza party with the team. I decided not to go to that and be tempted and went to the gym instead. Another 3.39 miles ALL.UP.HILL and 470 calories burned. Based on my intake, yesterday should have been a loss day for me.....(keep those fingers crossed).
Getting ready for the jamboree

The warm up

After 3 games - 2 back to back - whew...
